A Palo Alto Networks Case Study
Chase Corporation, a global manufacturer of high‑reliability coatings and materials, needed to cut mounting MPLS WAN costs without degrading application performance or availability. Their legacy MPLS network was strained by rich‑media traffic (notably Skype), and hardware sprawl at remote offices created operational burden for a lean IT team that wanted simpler, more efficient WAN management.
By deploying Palo Alto Networks Prisma SD‑WAN, Chase integrated broadband at branch sites and applied per‑application policies to direct traffic (offloading Skype and other noncritical flows to broadband), reducing reliance on MPLS and avoiding costly upgrades. The solution simplified management with top‑down policies and Zero Touch Provisioning, removed much remote hardware by using built‑in security, and delivered measurable results: increased bandwidth at sites, lower WAN costs, reduced complexity, and an easier-to-manage global WAN.
