Building Automation Leader Saves Over $2.5 Million With Consolidated, Preventive Network and Endpoint Security

CAME Group, an Italian-built automation leader operating in 118 countries with 480 branches and about 1,500 employees, faced frequent targeted malware attacks (notably CryptoLocker), inconsistent branch security and reliance on ineffective signature-based antivirus—resulting in business disruption, unpredictable remediation costs and degraded application performance across its global network.

CAME consolidated its security on the Palo Alto Networks Next‑Generation Security Platform (next‑generation firewalls, WildFire, Traps endpoint protection and Panorama centralized management), deploying it in the data center and 50 branch offices to provide preventive endpoint protection and uniform policies. The rollout prevented endpoint and network infiltrations, improved bandwidth and application performance, and delivered substantial cost savings—approximately $2.5 million from consolidation plus $250,000 avoided in endpoint remediation over three years.
