Automating cloud security control for Korea Credit Data

Korea Credit Data (KCD) is a Korean fintech that runs CashNote, a superapp for small and medium businesses with more than 1.3 million customers and 500 GB–1 TB of sales data processed daily. Rapid growth and high-value data exposed KCD to rising cyber risk while a lean security team of eight struggled with alert volume, cloud compliance, and the need to reduce mean time to detect and respond—especially across AWS.

KCD consolidated on Palo Alto Networks’ VM‑Series virtual NGFWs, Prisma Cloud and Cortex XSOAR to automate security controls, cloud posture management and incident response. The deployment improved visibility and threat intelligence, supported ISO/IEC 27001 certification, cut incident response workload by about 30% (with many tasks reduced from minutes to seconds), and secured large daily transaction volumes while enabling scalable, AWS‑native compliance and faster detection and remediation.
