Endpoint Security Reduces Attack Surface for Leading Turkish Bank

VakıfBank, one of the largest banks in Turkey, faced increasing cyberattacks and needed to strengthen endpoint security for its 17,000 employees. Their challenge was to reduce the attack surface, particularly against unknown threats like zero-day attacks, as traditional signature-based antivirus solutions were proving ineffective. The bank turned to Palo Alto Networks and its Traps product to find a solution.

Palo Alto Networks implemented its Traps solution, which uses multi-method prevention to preemptively block both known and unknown threats. The results included a reduced attack surface, greater visibility into the threat landscape, and valuable data for analyzing new threats. The solution successfully secured 17,000 endpoints and is enabling cost savings by replacing the bank's previous McAfee licenses.
