Value Management Strategies Inc (VMS) is a management consulting firm serving government and private-sector clients on large, interdependent projects. VMS faced the challenge of quantifying uncertainties that drive cost overruns, schedule delays, and scope risk across programs; to address this it adopted Palisade’s @RISK to model and forecast disruptions and provide clients with a clear roadmap for managing project risk.
Using Palisade’s @RISK Monte Carlo simulation, VMS built integrated cost-estimating and event-risk models, produced risk profiles and output graphs, and identified critical dependencies and high-impact uncertainties. The Palisade-powered analyses helped reduce the margin of error between realized costs and estimates, increase certainty in cost and schedule forecasts, surface material-price and logistical risks earlier, and move risks into an actively managed state—improving control of scope, schedule, and budget and enabling more reliable, profitable program delivery.
