A Palisade Case Study

Plymouth Business School - Customer Case Study

Plymouth Business School used Palisade’s @RISK to support research and a client engagement focused on risk management for sustainable supply chains in India. The team, led by Dr. Sachin Kumar Mangla, worked with a ten‑year‑old textile company that needed to identify and prioritize risks to achieve sustainable goals (reduce waste, boost economic/social/environmental performance, and implement sustainability initiatives).

Using an AHP + Monte Carlo Simulation approach with Palisade’s @RISK (20,000 iterations, triangular distributions, 90% confidence interval), the team quantified uncertainty and computed risk weights; results included a mean impact of 0.11275 (min 0.03717, max 0.19248, SD 0.02310, variance 0.000534). Palisade’s @RISK revealed process risk as the top concern (followed by environmental/social, supplier, technological, and IT risks), producing a practical SSC risk‑assessment framework that managers can use to prioritize mitigation and benchmark performance.
