Her Majesty's Prison Service faced the challenge of assessing cost and schedule risks across more than 80 capital works projects and needed a reliable way to model uncertainties and create risk registers. Working with consultant Faithful & Gould, the Service used Palisade’s @RISK to support cash flow analysis and risk identification for its capital program.
Faithful & Gould ran risk workshops, built models in @RISK to simulate cost and schedule scenarios for each project, and combined results to produce probable overall cash flows and a risk register for every project. Palisade’s @RISK simulations proved close enough to reality to validate the capital program, enabled contingency planning to offset significant risks, and will be used to generate regular model updates to protect the Service’s bottom line.
