Gannett Fleming, a national planning, design, and management firm, faced the challenge of producing FTA-compliant risk assessments to secure federal funding for public transit projects, where agencies expect high confidence levels (typically 70–80% or higher). To meet strict Federal Transit Administration guidelines, Gannett Fleming uses Palisade’s @RISK for Project (integrated with Microsoft Project) to quantify schedule and cost risks and produce the required detailed analyses.

Using Palisade’s @RISK for Project, Gannett Fleming implemented integrated cost-and-schedule Monte Carlo simulations, identified correlated risks, and generated probability ranges and ranked risk drivers to evaluate contingency and schedule float.
