State of Georgia unifies search across 100+ websites with Palantir.net

The State of Georgia's Digital Services and Solutions team faced a challenge providing a consistent search experience across its network of over 100 websites, which were split between Drupal 7 and Drupal 8 platforms. Their existing Acquia Search solution on Drupal 7 could not incorporate content from the new Drupal 8 sites, threatening to delay the new platform's launch or reduce functionality. The vendor Palantir.net implemented its Federated Search product to resolve this.

Palantir.net's Federated Search solution used Drupal, Solr, and React to index data from both platforms and provide a unified, cross-platform search experience. The implementation launched without service interruption, adding new search filters and making it easier for constituents to find content. For the State of Georgia, this lowered the risk of its platform upgrade and added sustainable value to the service. Palantir.net also used the work to improve the Federated Search product for future users.
