Urban Land Institute Speeds Procurement and Reduces Spending with PairSoft

Urban Land Institute, the global membership organization of real estate and land use experts, faced a slow, paper-driven procure-to-pay process supporting roughly 80 cost centers and hundreds of small, one-time purchases. Headquartered in Washington, D.C., the finance team was manually entering invoices from councils into Microsoft Dynamics GP, creating a bottleneck that delayed payments and generated excessive paper—so they selected PairSoft as their procure-to-pay solution.

PairSoft was implemented with direct integration to Microsoft Dynamics GP, account-masking, attachment support, multi-currency handling and a complete audit trail, plus a custom report to measure cycle time. As a result of PairSoft’s automation Urban Land Institute cut average payment turnaround to four days (against a 10-day goal), reduced payables headcount by one, and now supports 300 users across 12 time zones, delivering faster, more transparent procure-to-pay operations.
