Regional Parks Foundation, a Oakland-based nonprofit that supports programming and upkeep across 65 parks and more than 120,000 acres, needed a complementary document and workflow management solution to meet 501(c)(3) record-keeping, compliance and transparency requirements. Already using Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge and Financial Edge, the Foundation engaged PairSoft to address slow, error-prone processes for membership and gift processing, accounts receivable, invoicing, documentation and audits.
PairSoft implemented a document scanning and workflow management system that integrates with the Foundation’s existing Blackbaud software to streamline gift processing, bookkeeping and archive retrieval. The result: thousands of dollars saved annually, immediate ROI, document retrieval times cut from up to a day to about a minute, elimination of temporary staff and physical storage boxes, a roughly three-day reduction in the quarterly close cycle, and an 8–10 hour annual reduction in audit time.
