Norfolk State University becomes pandemic-proof with PaperSave

Norfolk State University, a public HBCU in Norfolk, Virginia, needed a better way to manage donor and gift records without relying on paper files and manual searches. Working with PairSoft and its PaperSave document management solution integrated with Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT, the university sought faster access to constituent, financial, and compliance documents while reducing filing-cabinet dependence.

PairSoft implemented a cloud-based, natively integrated document management workflow that centralized records and made it easy for staff to retrieve gift documentation, correct donor errors, and quickly search even long files. The results helped Norfolk State University keep operations running smoothly during COVID-19 with remote staff, and usage grew enough that the university increased PaperSave seats from just 3–4 to 12–13 users on a typical day.
