ABB Spain, the Spanish arm of global power and automation leader ABB, needed to optimize invoice handling and comply with Spain’s mandatory public-administration e‑invoicing. Since 2011 ABB Spain selected Pagero Group, using Pagero Online and related services, to send and receive e‑invoices and to meet ABB’s strict global provider approval requirements while simplifying supplier adoption.

Pagero Group deployed its cloud‑based Pagero Online platform (SFTP, validations, enrichments, digital signature and a supplier web portal), enabling invoices to load into ABB’s system every 20 minutes and eliminating manual scanning and incidents. The implementation delivered measurable impact: third‑party e‑invoice volume reached 45–50% (goal 100% by 2017), internal e‑invoice volume 80%, rapid supplier onboarding (80% of scope initially and 400+ suppliers in Q1 2016), processing ~€600M in invoices, and clear time, cost and environmental savings for ABB Spain.
