RIKEN Nishina Center, part of Japan’s RIKEN research organization, operates the advanced RI Beam Factory accelerator complex in a highly sensitive environment where network stability is critical. The center needed a more manageable and cost-effective way to monitor its 24/7 RIBF control system and reduce the risk of outages that could disrupt important accelerator research.

Paessler AG’s PRTG Network Monitor was implemented to replace Nagios and provide unified monitoring of servers, virtual machines, physical servers, bandwidth, NetFlow, and even power and control systems.
