Idonix, a UK broadcast technology company, needed a reliable way to meet service level agreements for the BBC’s high-profile Sochi Winter Olympics coverage while also keeping pace with a growing IT infrastructure. Using Paessler AG’s PRTG, Idonix deployed remote probes, custom sensors, and a REST API-based reporting tool to monitor service availability, stall time, and load time, and to generate SLA reports for the client. The solution helped Idonix prove service performance, avoid SLA issues, and impress the BBC with clear reporting, while also giving the company its first practical network monitoring platform for internal IT operations.
