Leading visual communications provider AVM looks to PRTG to enable flexible working for its customers

AVM, a UK provider of visual communications services for clients ranging from local councils to major enterprises like BT, Talk Talk, and the NHS, needed a reliable way to support growing demand for flexible working and video collaboration. To replace risky freeware tools inherited through an acquisition, AVM turned to Paessler AG and its PRTG Network Monitor to gain a dependable, always-on view of the infrastructure behind its cloud-hosted AV services.

With Paessler AG’s PRTG, AVM now uses around 1,600 sensors to monitor everything from mail servers and CRM to video conferencing systems, network throughput, and power, temperature, and humidity on APC power strips. The result has been stronger visibility, faster issue detection, better control over network performance, and cost savings from tracking data-centre power usage. AVM also centralized monitoring for easy access across devices and displays network status on wall-mounted screens for real-time visibility.
