Kennisnet Controls its Network with PRTG

Kennisnet, the Dutch education ICT organization, needed a way to quickly detect outages, run custom functional checks, and generate reports for product managers and the service desk. Before using Paessler AG’s PRTG Network Monitor, the team lacked flexible monitoring and reporting capabilities, making it harder to spot problems and respond to issues affecting schools, students, and publishers.

Paessler AG implemented PRTG for Kennisnet, enabling automatic sensor discovery, monitoring across servers, switches, printers, and other devices, plus custom reporting and API-based integrations such as traffic-light alerts. As a result, Kennisnet gained faster problem detection, easier updates to existing and new checks, better after-the-fact reporting, and visibility into 494 devices with 1,863 active sensors, helping keep critical services available.
