Teletipos, part of CDT Latam, needed a reliable way to monitor a large facial-recognition-based stadium security system deployed across Uruguay’s main football venues. With thousands of points to supervise and strict availability requirements for cameras, network devices, and recording systems, the team needed a monitoring platform that was easy to configure and could support high operational standards. Paessler AG implemented PRTG Network Monitor to monitor CCTV cameras, servers, and network components remotely from a tier III data center over encrypted Internet tunnels and private VPNs. The result was faster setup, simpler administration, and improved visibility into issues, helping Teletipos reduce mean time to repair, cut inspection visits, and maintain continuous operation of the stadium security system. The solution contributed to stronger match-day security, including an 80% drop in arrests and only 0.015% false positives during one high-traffic match with 179,849 identifications.
