AU Wireless Gains Insights into Radio Equipment with PRTG

AU Wireless is a non-profit co-op wireless internet service provider that delivers broadband via microwave signals to residential customers. To keep service reliable across its spread-out network, AU Wireless needed better visibility into its network hardware, radio equipment, customer connections, and bandwidth usage. They used Paessler AG’s PRTG Network Monitor to stay on top of these operational challenges.

With Paessler AG’s PRTG, AU Wireless monitors around 130 devices using mostly SNMP sensors, plus custom, PING, and HTTP checks. The solution helps them detect outages quickly, manage bandwidth more efficiently, and visualize the network with custom geographic maps and public bandwidth graphs. As a result, AU Wireless says it has cut management time in half and saved money on bandwidth costs by tracking usage and trends more accurately.
