A Paessler AG Case Study
Oxford Spires Academy, an academy serving East Oxford, needed a better way to monitor its rapidly expanding IT environment as it added new devices, classroom technology, and remote-access services for students. Its existing monitoring tool, Mutiny, lacked the detail and flexibility needed to keep the network and intranet running reliably, especially outside school hours. Paessler AG’s PRTG Network Monitor was brought in to provide deeper visibility into the infrastructure.
With Paessler AG’s PRTG, Oxford Spires was able to monitor all network devices in near real time, spot a weak copper-link section that was then upgraded to fiber, and better manage traffic spikes and printer supplies. The academy gained greater insight into bandwidth usage, improved network performance, and saved time and money by buying only the capacity and stock it needed.
