Matomo, an open‑source web analytics platform used on over a million sites, faced an unscalable billing stack built from 10–15 plug‑ins that required 3–4 hours a week of maintenance, limited payments to two currencies, and left them exposed to a costly card‑verification attack and complex global tax compliance.
