Flixel, maker of award‑winning Cinemagraph Pro for macOS and iOS, needed to move from one‑off licenses to a hybrid model supporting licenses, subscriptions and upgrades without losing customers. Their previous checkout provider (FastSpring) couldn’t support experimentation, upsells or multiple subscription tiers, so Flixel turned to Paddle for checkout, payments and licensing support to enable the new business model.

Paddle implemented its web and in‑app checkout, enabled A/B testing of pricing and messaging, and streamlined purchase and upgrade flows to reduce friction and abandonment.
