Cycle, founded by Jake Warner in 2014, set out to make it easier for companies to build, deploy, and manage applications at scale, regardless of technical expertise. As its containers-as-a-service platform grew, Cycle ran into a challenge with public cloud infrastructure: customers wanted the performance and simplicity of Cycle, but with physical isolation between tenants and a more enterprise-friendly deployment model. To solve that, Cycle turned to Packet for bare-metal infrastructure.

Using Packet’s bare metal cloud and private deployment capabilities, Cycle was able to let customers spin up a Cycle-powered private cloud on Packet servers in about 15 minutes, without juggling separate accounts or integrations. Packet’s stable API and built-in features like native IPv6 and Global BGP helped Cycle reuse about 80% of its existing code and launch the new platform quickly, improving both speed to market and the quality of the service Cycle could deliver.
