UBQ Materials Ltd, a B-Corp start-up headquartered in Israel, was looking to expand globally while better communicating the value of its patented UBQ™ material, which turns residential municipal solid waste into a thermoplastic. The company needed help validating its technology, refining its market message, and strengthening its circular economy business model. PA Consulting was brought in to support the growth strategy and assess marketability.

PA Consulting conducted a detailed business review, developed a circular economy assessment framework, and used life cycle assessment to guide UBQ Materials’ growth plans and protect its core value proposition. The work helped UBQ clarify its positioning, embed circular economy principles more deeply, and communicate its impact more credibly. The solution also reinforced measurable benefits, including diverting about 1.3 tonnes of landfill waste and saving up to 15 tonnes of CO2e for every tonne of material produced, with 6 weeks required for PA Consulting to complete the review.
