PA Consulting worked with Ariad Pharmaceuticals, a growing biopharmaceutical company whose aging IT infrastructure, systems, and services were limiting its ability to operate efficiently and prepare for the potential launch of a new lung cancer drug. At the same time, Ariad was moving into a new purpose-built office, increasing the need for a modern, integrated IT environment.

PA Consulting assessed Ariad’s application architecture and infrastructure, identified gaps and duplications, moved more services to the cloud, introduced new technologies such as Microsoft Surface Hubs, and helped source and transition to new IT suppliers. PA Consulting managed the change without any break in services, maintained the legacy environment during the transition, and helped Ariad improve productivity, support collaboration, and continue scientific discovery while preparing for the drug launch.
