PA Consulting worked with Surrey Heartlands Health and Care Partnership to help strengthen its workforce planning across three Integrated Care Partnerships within the Surrey Heartlands ICS. Facing rising demand from an aging population, budget pressure, and workforce shortages, the partnership needed a more coordinated way to ensure staff could deliver efficient, high-quality care now and in the future.
PA Consulting brought together business intelligence, analytics, and people and talent expertise to assess workforce challenges, identify gaps, and map more than 30 workforce interventions across five themes. The result was a set of practical three-year integrated workforce plans for each ICP, designed to improve recruitment, retention, culture, training, technology use, and skills-mix so Surrey Heartlands can deliver better care more efficiently at scale.
