PA Consulting designed an innovative, cordlessly powered intracranial drill featuring a unique lever-lock system. This mechanism creates a highly precise auto-stop that retracts the drill the moment it breaks through the skull, effectively eliminating over-drilling. The solution is expected to significantly reduce brain trauma and death, and with FDA clearance secured, strong market appetite exists with 100 hospitals already exploring purchase options.
