Helping vulnerable people stay independent during the COVID-19 outbreak

Argenti worked with PA Consulting to help vulnerable and elderly people stay independent at home during the COVID-19 outbreak. Their challenge was to continue delivering technology-enabled care while protecting users and staff from the virus, reducing isolation, and easing pressure on already stretched social care and healthcare services.

PA Consulting supported Argenti’s service with remote assessments, safe installations, PPE-enabled visits, and new ways of operating under lockdown, using technology such as wearable detectors, door sensors, personal GPS, tablets, and epilepsy sensors. The result was continuity for more than 17,000 vulnerable people, 150 new users introduced to care technology, and a safer, more connected service that helped free hospital capacity and support people living independently.
