PA Consulting worked with Dublin Airport Authority to address a major capacity challenge at Dublin Airport, the main base for Ryanair and Aer Lingus. Passenger growth and rising connecting traffic were outpacing existing infrastructure, and the airport needed a way to accelerate development in a constrained environment.

PA Consulting developed an outline airport masterplan and supported a hub implementation programme across multiple projects for both the DAA and Aer Lingus, bringing aviation expertise and project management capability. The work included forecasting capacity, designing airfield efficiencies, obtaining regulatory approvals, and launching multiple projects; the programme is ongoing through 2022 and has already delivered an integrated programme and improved capacity planning for 2022.
