Developing a low cost approach to producing sustainable packaging

PulPac, a Swedish start-up focused on replacing single-use plastics, needed help commercializing its patented sustainable packaging technology and scaling it for market demand. PA Consulting worked with PulPac to help turn its IP into a viable business and support development of a lower-cost, more sustainable alternative to plastic packaging.

PA Consulting used an agile innovation approach to identify high-value applications, develop product functionality, and provide a turnkey manufacturing solution covering business case development, product design, process and machine engineering, and manufacturing. The collaboration helped PulPac scale to millions of samples for FMCG trials, win three new global FMCG brand customers, and plan for 400 machines in operation within five years.
