BT Enterprise, the UK’s largest telecommunications provider, needed to rethink strategic workforce planning as digital transformation accelerated faster than workforce change. To support its Enterprise division, PA Consulting helped the company identify the skills and capabilities it would need five years out and build a more human-centric approach to workforce planning.
PA Consulting used its future of work methodology to analyze trends and scenarios, then designed and piloted three “Future Skills” workshops over three months. By gamifying the final workshop and co-facilitating with BT’s HR team, PA Consulting helped build internal ownership of future skills gaps, generate practical workforce insights, and equip BT Enterprise to create a five-year strategic workforce vision and annual plan.
