The Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket) manages Sweden’s road and rail infrastructure, including a busy network of 14,000 km of track and around 50 train operators. To better handle growing traffic volumes, it launched a programme to improve traffic planning and optimize capacity, working with PA Consulting and its future Capacity Planning System initiative.
