Quebec’s largest supermarket chain partnered with OXO to translate thousands of product descriptions

Metro Brands partnered with OXO Innovation to translate nearly 80,000 words of product descriptions for its private-label grocery lines, Irresistibles and Selection, from French to English. The challenge was to proofread the French source text while producing concise, catchy, on-brand translations for online shoppers within a tight turnaround.

OXO Innovation assembled a team of translators and revisers, including a marketing-focused subject matter expert, to proofread the source and refine the English output for quality, consistency, and tone. The project was delivered on time, Metro Brands was very satisfied, and the translated product descriptions went live on Metro’s online shopping website, helping the customer save time on translation and focus on content quality.
