Raiffeisen Bank faced a sudden rise in affiliate traffic costs while revenue stayed flat and discovered very short session breaks on its checkout pages, leading them to suspect CPA affiliates were rewriting traffic-source data (for example via browser extensions) to claim conversions. To investigate, Raiffeisen engaged OWOX and used OWOX BI products (including OWOX BI Pipeline) to capture unsampled, hit-level website data into Google BigQuery for secure, near‑real‑time analysis.
OWOX built a data pipeline and SQL-based reports that flagged users with two sessions on the same page within 60 seconds where the second session’s source switched to an affiliate, imported results into Google Sheets and pivoted them to identify offending partners and drained channels (CPC and organic). With OWOX’s solution Raiffeisen stopped cooperating with two dishonest affiliates, optimized its marketing budget, improved conversion attribution accuracy and set up ongoing automation to monitor and fight CPA fraud.
