Michigan State University Accelerates IT Operational Efficiency with OwnBackup

Michigan State University, a top-ranked public research university with a large Salesforce deployment supporting recruiting and admissions, faced growing data-protection and development challenges as its processes scaled. Weekly Export backups were too slow and couldn’t capture metadata or parent/child relationships, accidental deletions and data corruption risked operations, and manual sandbox replication for development could take almost a full day.

After a proof of concept, MSU implemented OwnBackup to run fast, automated backups and provide visual data/metadata compare, Smart Alerts, and sandbox seeding with anonymized data.
