A major regional water/waste water authority sought to improve its cybersecurity posture in accordance with DHS guidance, requiring the elimination of all remote access to its OT network while maintaining business continuity and enabling remote HMI screen monitoring. The organization partnered with Owl Cyber Defense to address this challenge.

Owl Cyber Defense implemented its Owl Talon data diodes and the Owl Virtual ScreenView Service (OV2S) application to create a deterministic, one-way data transfer solution. This removed all inbound communications to the OT network, securing it from outside influence, while enabling the secure replication of HMI screens for real-time offsite monitoring and providing remote access to operations reports and alarms at headquarters.
