Brussels Airport Company - Customer Case Study

Brussels Airport Company, a major global transportation hub, needed to manage tens of thousands of daily scheduling updates for airlines. Their challenge was to find a new virtualization solution to migrate approximately 150 virtual machines from their legacy Solaris infrastructure, as other options like CloudStack and OpenStack proved too maintenance-heavy or complex for their team.

The airport chose the oVirt virtualization solution for its datacenter management. The team was able to install oVirt and begin migrating from CloudStack in just two days. They implemented 12 oVirt hypervisors with plans for more, benefiting from a responsive and supportive open-source community. This migration to oVirt provided a stable and manageable platform for their mission-critical airline services.
