The Urban Community of Bourget Airport, a public institution serving around 100,000 residents in Le Bourget, Drancy, and Dugny, France, needed a cost-effective way to modernize its IT without maintaining an in-house operations team. Like many public entities, it faced tight budgets, aging hardware, and difficulty recruiting experienced administrators, so it turned to OVH cloud and its Hosted Private Cloud and Dedicated Connect services.

OVH cloud built a fully outsourced infrastructure by connecting the community’s core network to seven Hosted Private Cloud environments in its data center, supporting business applications, remote desktops, and video protection data from 80 HD cameras. The setup included redundant network links, separate infrastructure for video protection, and a redundant 10 Gbps internet connection, delivering greater agility, easier desktop management, and improved performance. The community also reported that extending fiber to nearby towns would provide 100 times more bandwidth and a payback period of 10 years.
