United Nations Federal Credit Union, a non-profit cooperative serving UN staff and their families in over 200 countries, wanted to encourage uptake and use of its newly launched credit card. Because members were spread across 205 countries and territories and often moved, the rewards needed to be transferable and redeemable wherever they were based, while also being engaging enough to build loyalty. Ovation Incentives provided the rewards platform for the programme.

Ovation Incentives launched a points-based loyalty programme with online redemption options that let members choose rewards in their preferred currency and from their current location. Customers could exchange points for an Ovation electronic voucher code and then select gift vouchers from local brands and international online retailers. UNFCU reported that credit card usage substantially improved and uptake increased, helping it increase member engagement, improve brand loyalty, and acquire new members.
