YAK MAT, a North American supplier of hardwood access mats, faced the challenge of managing hundreds of thousands of mats that constantly move between yards and jobsites. Their legacy systems couldn't support the specialized ERP, mobile access, automation, search and shipping/distribution capabilities required to efficiently track inventory and configure orders across multiple locations.

Partnering with OutSystems elite partner Do iT Lean, YAK MAT built the YAK MAT Tracker and mobile APIs as a custom front end to their Infor M3 ERP, developed by three full-time developers over about a year. The solution—followed by a supplier portal—streamlined inventory tracking, shipment creation and customer order updates, improved field usability and data capture, and now supports 250 active users (150–180 concurrent), enabling faster operations and business growth.
