The Rapid Relief Team Delivers Food Boxes to Those in Need During a Global Crisis

The Rapid Relief Team (RRT), a global volunteer humanitarian organization run by members of the Plymouth Brethren Christian Church, needed to rapidly scale its COVID‑19 Food Box program to reach people in Australia, New Zealand, the Americas, the Caribbean, and Europe. With manual processes struggling to match requests, volunteers and funders, RRT required a fast, reliable web and mobile solution to streamline case management, field service coordination and reporting.

Working with sister company UBT, OutSystems and delivery partner PhoenixDX, RRT launched a web portal and field‑service mobile app in 12 weeks that allocates requests, notifies nearby drivers, provides in‑app GPS guidance and photo proof of delivery, and offers real‑time performance tracking. The platform connected hundreds of volunteers, delivered thousands of food boxes, reduced admin overhead, and gave RRT the scalability and visibility needed to continue responding to the pandemic and future crises.
