Grupo SATA is an Azores-based aviation group with over 60 years of history and about 1,200 employees that operates airlines, airport management and tourism services. Facing fast-changing travel industry demands, a small IT team was under pressure to deliver quicker, higher-quality web applications while ensuring easy integration with existing systems (notably SharePoint and SAP) and stronger business-user involvement.

SATA adopted the OutSystems Platform and SCRUM, training a four-developer team in about 20 days to rebuild its back office and deliver six key applications (including eRetail, Airfields Management, Quality Management and SAP interfaces).
