Sage, a leader in accounting, financial, HR and payroll technology, needed a fast way to let colleagues return to offices safely after COVID-19 lockdowns. The company required an intuitive web and mobile app for booking desks and meeting rooms, check-in/check-out and location guidance, and chose OutSystems because of prior success and in-house developer familiarity.
Using an OutSystems Forge template and Cloud-first development, a team of four graduate developers and one senior developer delivered the MyWorkSpace app in six weeks. The app—now used by about 11,000 employees across 42 offices—offers office/date selection, automatic desk assignment, interactive maps, QR check-in, notifications, intranet integration and reporting, enabling rapid updates as guidance changed and supporting a safe, efficient return to the workplace.
