Refrige, a leading Portuguese bottler producing 220 million liters of soft drinks a year, faced a growing bottleneck in its product and promotional material handling process. The administrative workflow involved seven departments, relied on manual Microsoft InfoPath forms and repeated data entry into SAP and Basis, and took four to five weeks to complete—making it slow, error-prone and hard to change.

Working with Hyfas, Refrige rebuilt the end-to-end workflow on the OutSystems Platform and deployed it in 12 weeks, integrating with SAP and Basis and adding role-based dashboards, automated notifications and a back-office change console. The new system cut process time to under one week (about 5x faster), improved IT response from three weeks to one day, centralized data and auditability, and provided a scalable, easily changeable platform for future growth.
