Personal Group, a UK provider of employee benefits and insurance, faced an outdated white‑label platform that limited its ability to innovate and risked losing customers. With constrained time, headcount and budget—and the added complexity of integrating PCI‑compliant payment processing—the company chose low‑code to rapidly build a custom employee engagement platform.

Using OutSystems, Personal Group developed Hapi in nine months with a three‑person team, later adding a standalone benefits app in three weeks. Hapi now serves more than 2 million employees with 400K+ registered users, is used by major organisations (including Randstad, Wincanton, Network Rail and the NHS), has been white‑labelled for Sage, and is driving further mobile and back‑office plans—positioning OutSystems as a strategic partner.
