Monadelphous Employees Get Everything in One Place with "MonaWork" Mobile App

Monadelphous, a leading Australian engineering group, needed to streamline the mobilization of large, multi-disciplinary teams for remote maintenance “shut-downs” where certifications, travel and logistics created information overload. The Workforce Management team’s manual mix of emails, texts and calls was inefficient and hurt employee experience, so the company set out to unify communication and scheduling into a single, easy-to-use solution.

They built MonaWork — a mobile and web app on the OutSystems platform integrated with the IFS ERP — using rapid prototyping and a short development cycle (four sprints over 12 weeks with Novata Solutions). MonaWork centralizes jobs, trips, training, qualifications and calendar sync, is being rolled out iteratively with strong user feedback, is expected to support 20,000 mobilizations a year, reduce communications overhead, and earned Monadelphous a NextStep 2020 Innovation Award for ROI.
