Medtronic Improves User Experience for Over 80,000 Employees with “Click” Personalized Portal

Medtronic, the largest global medical device company, wanted to improve the employee experience because staff and managers struggled to navigate complex back-office systems and complete everyday tasks efficiently. To address this challenge, Medtronic worked with OutSystems to create a personalized employee portal called Click, designed to simplify access to IT services, approvals, and knowledge while meeting strict security and scalability needs.

Using OutSystems, Medtronic delivered a fast, front-end-focused solution without replacing legacy systems. The Click portal has rolled out to more than 80,000 employees and managers, and it cut Zoom training booking time from 168 seconds to 55 seconds, a 67% reduction—saving an estimated 1,875 hours annually if each employee books one session.
