Allens, a leading Australian commercial law firm, needed to scale its innovation efforts and modernize aging legal-practice systems to keep pace with changing client needs. The firm partnered with OutSystems and delivery partner DB Results to trial low-code development, with a goal to migrate ten legacy applications in a three-month program to replace a costly legacy platform and improve agility and user experience.

Using DB Results for design and complex builds, Allens’ small development team rapidly upskilled on OutSystems and ran user testing (91% preferred the new UX). All production apps and multiple MVPs were migrated, delivering a 70% reduction in support effort for one application (from nearly full‑time to under half a day/week), enabling broader roll‑out, retiring the legacy platform, clearing backlog work (21 initiatives completed) and accelerating prototype/MVP delivery from months to days/weeks.
