US Acute Care Solutions (USACS), a fast-growing physician-led healthcare group, needed to modernize its aging portal and support rapid acquisition-driven growth without building a large IT team. Its legacy MyPulse system was slow to update, hard to maintain across desktop and mobile, and costly to support, creating challenges for adoption, security, and standardization across more than 300 locations.
USACS partnered with **OutSystems** to rebuild its portal and deliver a mobile-first application platform, starting with the Central Line portal and then expanding to multiple web and mobile apps. **OutSystems** enabled USACS to deliver the portal in five months and a mobile app in just 12 weeks, while a small in-house team continued improving applications every two to three weeks. The results included a fourfold growth in two years, at least $2 million in annual savings, higher user adoption, better mobility for physicians, and a major reduction in SaaS sprawl and legacy debt.
