BRI Security, a leading Australian security services firm, faced an overwhelming backlog of handwritten field reports that created errors, high admin costs, and limited ability to improve service delivery—made worse by having no in-house development capability. To stay competitive and meet a major client’s needs, the company needed a customized mobile solution but wanted it quickly and affordably.

Using the OutSystems low-code platform with local partners, BRI built the BRI Operational Support System (BOSS) in about two months, delivering offline-capable mobile reporting, integrations (rostering, maps), instant client portals, and automated shift reports. The app cut errors, eliminated paper forms (saving the equivalent of four full-time roles), deepened client relationships, accelerated rollouts to new clients, supported post-acquisition integration, and helped win new contracts worth millions.
